Permit Screening for Energy Distributor

Executive Summary

Customer is one of the largest combined natural gas and electric energy companies in the United States. Primary business is to carry out the transmission and delivery of energy. The company provides natural gas and electric service in California.

Goal

Needed an automated solution to review and validate permit applications for creating work orders to repair transmission towers. Their current solution was manual with field managers reporting on spreadsheets and manually reviewing and processing them to create work orders.

Results

We built a serverless AWS Cloud native platform for importing and processing permit applications with simple user experience. 

GIS integration with ESRI for real-time geo-location to identify exact location of towers and their proximity to highways, freeways, and other roads.

Using Interactive 3D Visualization and manipulation helped enhance the user experience and streamline workflows by providing a more  immersive and intuitive way to interact with assets
